Farne Islands
We’ve long wanted to see Puffins and get photos of these characterful little birds. So we visited the Farne Islands off the coast of Northumberland in the May school half term.
We returned via Rutland Water and got to see a nesting pair of Osprey with chicks on nest and in flight. At our campsite we had amazing views across Rutland, and a Yellow Wagtail in field we were pitched in. At Kielder Castle we watched a Swallow building its nest.
