New camera
I’ve been interested in photography and bird watching since I was little. On a trip to the Outer Hebrides in July 2017 we met a guy in a Golden Eagle bird hide and were amazed by his photos compared to our little compact Sony. Over a year later we took the plunge and bought a very similar setup to his.
Couldn’t believe our (beginners) luck by capturing not only a Kingfisher on our first outing with the camera, but also Otters and Great Northern Diver. We hoped it would be like this every time, but unfortunately it’s not always the case. We still get to be outside and enjoy nature and have met many friendly like-minded people along the way.
In February 2020 we had a new addition to the camera family when Grant got the same body and different lenses for gigs and landscape photography. This was for a planned trip to Mull which has been rescheduled many times since.
